MCOMA holds Induction Dinner honoring Patrick McClellan, D.O.
The Macomb County Osteopathic Medical Association (MCOMA) Induction Dinner was recently held at Sajo’s Restaurant in Clinton Township, in honor of their new MCOMA president, Patrick McClellan, D.O. There were approximately 75 students and physicians in attendance.
Representing the Michigan Osteopathic Association (MOA) was President, Edward J. Canfield, D.O. and Kris T. Nicholoff, CEO and Executive Director. The Oakland County Osteopathic Medical Association was represented by Daniel Bonbrisco, D.O.
Kari Hortos, D.O. and Associate Dean of the MSUCOM Macomb Campus said “that no matter what comes our way, the resilience of the physicians and students is prevalent and it shows a passion even after years of taking care of people.” Dr. Hortos told the students to “keep your eye on the future but keep busy with today. Taking care of people is what it’s all about.”
Dr. McClellan thanked everyone for attending and stated “the people in the room allowed me to do what I love, practice medicine.”
Dr. Canfield was invited to say a few words and remarked that “a lot of our power and prestige comes from Macomb, you are going to have the best job in the whole wide world, and MOA is your association. Do what is right and stay true, it is not only about making money, but taking care of people.”
Financial support was received from St. John Providence Health System-Osteopathic Division and the Michigan Insurance Team (MIT) member, Association Benefits.
